Systems Analyst

Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations
• Monitor and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems
• Provide quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing hardware and software products
• Supervise complex operations that involve two or more additional functions such as, but not limited to, network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities
• Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting performance
• Perform vulnerability and cyber security assessments of systems hardware and software
• Develop, research, and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends related to data hiding, covert communications, encryption, network security, and offensive and defensive cyber operations
• Assist in deterring, identifying, monitoring, investigating, and analyzing cyber intrusions
• Assists in the preparation of testing strategies, test plans and test cases
• Prescribe cyber security best practices and anti-malware techniques to address weaknesses in cyber assets and combat sophisticated threats against those assets
Required Skills
• Degree in related discipline from an accredited educational institution
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of Object Oriented programming principles and best practices.
• Solid understanding of SQL and non-SQl databases
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, subordinates, technical staff and users
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Exceptional Skill in analyzing and interpreting technical data
• Understanding of test strategies, test plans, and test execution
• Understanding of systems development life cycle including issue, risk and scope management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced in documenting business, process and data flows
• Regularly provides guidance and assistance in mentoring less experienced staff
